Adrianna’s story

Hello family and friends,

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far. We are very grateful! As you may know, Adrianna has been battling daily pain for the last 6 years. We wanted to provide an update on Adrianna’s progress at the Spero clinic in her treatments for CRPS (aka the suicide disease).

She began treatments in late June but after about two and a half weeks had to pause treatments because her body was stuck in fight, flight or freeze mode. A scan of her brain indicated that this needed to be addressed before she could continue treatments for her pain. This was a result of her body being in constant pain since 2018 and had caused adrenal failure in her body. Adrianna began a regimen of supplements to address her adrenal fatigue and many other issues. We enrolled her into a program called Cereset which basically resets your brain to get you out of fight, flight or freeze. There was a waiting list to get into Cereset so it was a few months before she could complete that program and get back into the clinic. We also learned that in addition to CRPS she has POTS(causes extreme dizziness), EDS, Allodynia as well as many food sensitivities that were causing further inflammation.

She re-started Spero clinic in November and has been undergoing treatment ever since.

During our time there we have witnessed so many CRPS patients(some after many decades of suffering) go into remission and leave the clinic pain free! Due to the number of issues Adrianna’s body was going through her progress has not been as fast as we initially hoped. There have been days when we have to carry her from the car to her bed because of pain and exhaustion but everytime she pushes through and shows up the next day for treatment. She is a fighter!

She has made incredible progress but is not out of the woods yet. In the past few weeks she has been able to stop using her cane to walk, has started experiencing temporary pain drops, and has been able to re-introduce several foods to her body without issue. She has gotten so much stronger and her mobility has come back to normal levels in most of her body.

One of the primary and most effective treatments at the clinic is using the ARP wave machine to stimulate the muscles and nerves while performing various exercises. The highest setting on the machine is 100 and some patients never make it to the “100 Club”. Adrianna has been hitting 100 multiple days each week which is often when she experiences her temporary pain drops! It is common for patients to experience temporary pain drops and eventually most will go into remission(permanent pain drop). This machine is $15,000. At Adrianna’s most recent evaluation, the doctors estimate she will need another 10 weeks of treatment. This would put her at 27 weeks of treatment total. Since every patient’s body responds differently it is impossible to give exact timelines. We have seen many patients come and go in many different time frames.

We thought we had the funds to cover Adrianna’s treatment (which is not covered by insurance) but due to the extended duration of her treatments we are running out of funds for her to complete treatments. We are reaching out to family and friends for anything you can do to help Adrianna get to remission.

If you are able to help we are trying to raise an additional $29,000 To complete her treatments and purchase an ARP wave machine which will allow her to address any future flares should they occur. Again, words cannot express how grateful we are for what has already been raised. We fully believe God has let us to this clinic to get her into remission and live a pain free life
